With RedOne hatching up similar production for the likes of Kat DeLuna and his protege Mohimbi, this sound is not really exclusive, but it totally works for J.Lo. He’s certainly doing a MUCH better job with Jen and Nicole Scherzinger than he is with Lady Gaga. ‘Poison’ and ‘On The Floor’ over ‘Judas’ any day of the week!

Tony Bennett partners with Christina Aguilera on ‘Steppin’ Out with My Baby’, lifted from his new ‘Viva Duets’ album. It’s not the first time they performed the jazz standard together. The pair have performed the Irving Berlin classic on numerous occasions including his 2006 NBC special, a 2006 episode of SNL and the 2007 Emmy Awards. The studio recording premiered today courtesy of MTV Buzzworthy!
‘Steppin’ Out With My Baby’ was recorded six years ago at the historic Los Angeles Theater. It’s not surprising because that photo is clearly lifted from her ‘Back to Basics’ era. It’s appearance marks the first time their duet will be included on any of his albums. Aggy is giving us some classy, clear vocals here, which combines nicely with Bennett’s. The overall tone of the song puts you in a jolly good mood too. The 86-year-old will release his new album ‘Viva Duets’, on October 22nd.

Lady Gaga‘s new single ‘Judas’ premiered on Radio 1 today. A low quality leaked earlier, but now the song is out in HQ. The RedOne produced cut is clearly an obvious attempt to recreate ‘Bad Romance’ especially the chorus. In a way, don’t you feel bad for Gaga? It’s so obvious she’s trying extra hard to top herself but winds up coming out short instead.
Although the busy instruments override her vocals, at best it’s a standard pop song with metal-techno overtones and dark influences. The song itself is not exceptionally amazing, but who knows? This could very well be the track to catapult Gaga’s career to new heights. Bring on that controversial music video so religious groups can seethe in anger and rip her a new one. Listen to the track in HQ below.

Keshia Chante‘s new single ‘Set U Free’ debuted today, and serves as the second offering from her upcoming new album ‘Night & Day’. Beginning with erratic buzzy synths and hand claps, ‘Set U Free’ comes at you full force with its triumphant, trance pop appeal and lyrical content, which defines a sexy ode to flirting!
The high energy club cut is written by Taio Cruz, and produced by Justin Forsley. Keshia also has co-writing credits on the track as well. Give the track a listen below. Ravey dance-pop is now IN!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Manhattan Records has debuted a preview of Mýa‘s new and upcoming Japan-only single ‘Runnin’ Back’, which features unknown artist Iyaz (at least he is to me). The track will officially be released on February 23rd.
It’s a catchy song about a troublesome relationship and features a nice nice piano melody. It’s not as hot as ‘Fabulous Life’ but it’s a really cool song. Mya at the moment, is not getting a commercial release and has to stay catering to the Japanese market. That actually kind of sucks for the US fans especially those that still want new music released on their territory. But as she said previously, lack of funding is playing a big part. Give the song a listen below.

Lloyd releases new single ‘Cupid’ from his fourth studio album ‘King of Hearts’. On the bass heavy, finger snapping production, the R&B crooner is captured by cupid’s arrow after falling deeply in love. The infectious cut is produced by Polow Da Don who is overseeing most of the album’s production.
Lloyd’s smooth vocal delivery provides sheer ear orgasm! The 24-year-old sounds his loveliest when he’s singing IN his range and not out of it. Let’s hope he sticks to this type of singing technique for the rest of the project as opposed to the ear shattering ‘Lay it Down’. New album ‘King of Hearts’ is slated to drop in stores stores on April 19th.

Marsha puts her own spin on the R&B classic, filled with lots of Hip Hop flavour over the boom-bapping beat. Until ‘Late Nights & Early Mornings’ arrives at a store near you, take a listen to cut below.

The compilation features six different remixes of the song, including the radio edit. I posted a preview of the EP this past weekend. Mya and Cedric Gervais attended the Belvedere Red Launch party in Los Angeles last night. Click here to view some photos. And see below to listen to the song in full.

‘Club Banger Nation’ is an ode to partying and it’s fun and catchy overall. It’s still typical RedOne but it’s groovy and sassy. The cut is the first confirmed leak to appear on her upcoming album, and according to several online rumours, it is even pegged as a future single. Give the track a listen below.

The cut is taken from the recent recording sessions of Breezy’s upcoming album ‘F.A.M.E’ (out on March 22nd). However, it’s not yet known whether the track will be included. At present, the singer and his team are still picking out tracks for the project. Give the unmastered demo a listen below.

As for the song itself, it is very much another electronically charged dancepop number, reminiscent to her lead single ‘Poison’, but not as good. Verdict: Generic at best. Take a listen below.

With its hard bass drum kicks, and accompanying solid vocal arrangements, ‘Broken Record’ is a banger, on all formats! I am actually anticipating this new mixtape when it drops on February 7th. She is really bringing it with these hot beats.

‘Take Care’ sees J.Lo dip her feet back into the urban-pop pool. She might have even sampled from her label mate – Rihanna‘s ‘Rude Boy’ (“what I want want want”). It sounds unfinished which would explain why it’s not as good as it could be. And it DOES have a real catchiness about it. Check it out below.

With its thumping beat and infectious synth line, it has that rump shaking factor that you’d probably get down to at the club. And according to TheTimbalandBuzz.com, the track can be found on the Japanese release of the album as a bonus cut. Go on. Wet your ears and give the track a listen below.

Check out his first single, the synth-laced R&B cut ‘Law and Order’, from the upcoming compilation. The track is a play on one of his favourite shows on TV… ‘Law and Order: SVU’. The message? “In the courtroom of love, even the most infallible can become casualties of their own passion. It is only the lessons learned, and their response in the form of action that truly defines character. These are their stories…” Take a listen below!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
O emphasises that love takes a long time to happen, encouraging people to fast forward to just plain lust (having sex). Opening with a piano and guitar riff, the track transitions back and fourth from a fast paced uptempo to a slowed down finger snapping beat.

The 32-year-old previously made mention that the project will see her experimenting with a variety of different sounds. And the rock ‘n’ roll influenced cut is different compared to what we’ve heard so far.

The R&B slow cut sees the singer begrudging a fella for standing her up. Whilst I cannot stand R. Kelly at this point, nothing can really deny the man of his talent and his knack for penning a really good song, with a lot of depth. In any case, give the track a listen below in its entirety.

Starting off with airy synth lines breezing in and out, the song transitions into an array of percussive drum beats and an inspiring piano melody. Scherzinger uses her vocals in a way that may just seal her case as an underrated singer. The way in which she repeatedly puts emphasis on ‘baby’ towards the end is pretty chilling. It’s not yet known whether the track will make the final cut. However, with its rather engaging production and solid vocal arrangement, it should! Give it a listen below.

The Swizz Beatz assisted cut sees the soulman making a plea not to cheat and he came correct with the oldskool, disco-influenced cut. The beat is absolutely flaming; lots of souring synths, snazzy horns, the full works. You might even recognise that the feel-good uptempo heavily samples Central Line‘s ‘Walking into Sunshine’ (1981). Take a listen below and get groovy with it!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The talented singer is set to release her new mixtape ‘Dondria Duets 2′ on Valentines day and this is one of the cuts that will feature on the upcoming compilation. After the jump, you can check it out below.

The electronically fueled house cut is partly sung in German and is contagious enough to spill blood on those dancefloors everywhere! The song was remixed by Gaga herself who did not attend the event for yesterday’s menswear show. Take a listen to the track in its entirety below.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The audio is not that great but you can make out that it’s very techno-driven. Tomorrow afternoon, Mugler creative director Nicola Formichetti will debut a short film featuring Gaga’s remix. The footage will premiere on both Mugler.com and Stylelist.com. Therefore, we’ll soon get a much better/lengthier quality of the song. Stay tuned.

I have been loving the throwback 80s sound of these catchy pop melodies lately and this just gave me serious life. I absolutely love it. The track is fun, it’s upbeat, it’s got lots of sass and it has loads of crossover appeal without sounding too contrived. It looks like the R&B songstress is really pressing ahead with the music this year as her new music video for ‘Love Is The Answer’ is expected to premiere any day now.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That said, Mya is out with a new single in Japan that undoubtedly caters for a Japanese market, though its appeal is undeniable! She has been my favourite artist for years, and although she’s not as mainstream as she once was, I admire that she is still on her grind, releasing music for her fans. Her new single, Fabulous Life, was released today in Japan, and the airy, light-hearted electropop song is one of the best things she’s done in a while, in my opinion. Listen to a snippet under the jump and buy the single on Japan iTunes if you feel so inclined!

The club-ready song is packed with trancy synthesisers which I am sure is destined to become a future hit on the pop charts. Pop Chris is cool, but I’m more a fan of his R&B stuff and not anything you’d hear at a down-marketed Ibiza rave.

In related news, Seventies band The Bellamy Brothers are considering taking legal action against the singer and her songwriters because they claim ‘Hold It Against Me’ has “major similarities” to their 70s hit ‘If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body, Would You Hold It Against Me’. Poor chick can’t catch a break.

The track in question is titled ‘On The Floor’ and it has a ‘Waiting For Tonight’ feel mixed in with a ‘Lambada’‘ sample. But at the same time, it’s very RedOne. An exclusive snippet of that very Pitbull assisted song has now surfaced online today. Check it out below!

However, it’s not the type of song you’d choose to lead the album with. The first demo actually served the song a whole lot better than this, and even Keri Hilson‘s R&B take on the song was more favourable. ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’ will be released on March 6th in the UK, followed by the album on March 18th. Stevie Wonder, Prince, Bob Marley, Paul McCartney and Sly Stone recieved love on the project which will be out on Valentines Day. The Andre Merritt assisted track emphasises regrets after two people cheat on their other halves by having a drunken one night stand. I have not really been feeling much of Kelly’s dancepop direction lately and at first I thought it was a little contrived, but this is one of her stronger moments methinks. Take a listen below!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The electronic savvy pop fest also comes complete with a banging dubstep-infused breakdown. Now, all we need is a hot dancentric music video, which I am not getting my hopes up for. Still, we can have a little itsy bit of hope right? Ryan Seacrest says she’s been rehearsing hard for the visual which will be shot around next week. Listen to the mastered finalised single of Britney Spears after the jump!

It’s a really nice grooving R&B ballad, which starts off with a sweeping piano riff, accompanied by amazing vocals from both parties. Ginuwine will release his brand new album on February 15th. Until then, take a listen to the track below.

It doesn’t even sound like a Chris Brown track as he is mainly singing the hook and does not have the dominating feature. That leads me to think this is a Pitbull featuring CB, not the other way round. Still, we’ll just have to wait and see where the song ends up. Breezy’s upcoming LP ‘F.A.M.E’? or Pitbull’s upcoming LP ‘Planet Pit’? The track sounds a bit generic but either way, take a listen to Breezy admiring the females from a global standpoint below.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
‘Beautiful Life’ is a midtempo cut comprised of drum beat sounds and the aid of a Korg keyboard which he played the hell out of during the end. He name dropped this song previously which he wrote and produced in Paris. I’m not that crazy about the song and his rapping is just… well, leave the rapping to the rappers and stick to what you’re good at, Ryan.

And since the song touches upon dishonesty, cheating and relationship insecurities, I’m willing to bet some serious money that Ne-yo wrote it. With the 30-year-old lining up Timbaland and Rico Love for the project, I’d say she was targeting a more urban pop sound as opposed to the europop effort of her last album. Now that all three (or four) Destiny’s Child singers are releasing albums this year (only one is a definete guarantee), we might just be in for a hat trick here.

The beautiful emotionally-charged R&B ballad debuted courtesy of a promo clip which he has just released. His forthcoming new album ‘Elgin’ will also drop in stores on Feb 15th. Meanwhile, the other pop heavyweight which Gaga is being pitted against continues to cause further anticipation. A demo said to be the new Britney Spears single ‘Hold It Against Me’ surfaced online today. Many Britney fans are convinced it’s the real deal. Read on.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some are questioning whether or not the demo is fake or real but according to evidence, it all points to it being real. And here’s how. The demo opens with the lyrics that producer Dr. Luke confirmed on Twitter recently: “Hey over there please forgive me” (first line). Bonnie Mckee is said to be the singer on the demo for ‘Hold It Against Me’. On Twitter recently, she spoke about the new Britney single.
Dr. Luke, Max Martin and Bonnie Mckee all have songwriting credits on the Britney version. The demo that leaked is produced by ‘Riz’ resulting in the singer possibly passing it onto Max and Luke who then reworked the production. Youtube are yanking the demo off their site with the quickness alluding to theories that the demo could be the real deal. And lastly, popjustice confirms the demo is real. Give it a listen below!

That’s the good thing about being one of the top socialites in the country. You can venture into ANY industry without having a lick of talent, as long as you have the body and the looks, you can go there. Still, it will be interesting to see how she successfully pulls off this pop star role as opposed to her other noted roles (reality star, porn star, athlete trophy, socialite, etc).

All of Mohombi’s music sounds the same. There is no versatility in his sound whatsoever, and with a name like that, it kind of makes it hard for people to check for him. Nicole, who was also taken on board by RedOne for the majority of her upcoming new album, will enjoy some success on European territories. But as for the US, I just can’t see it happening. However, that all important judging role on The US X Factor could do wonders.

Piercing electronic synths, a thumping dance beat and a killer chorus plague the euro-club cut. Dare I say it, but this beat is bananas. He will also be celebrating the new year tonight in Washington D.C. Listen to the cut below.
