Mariah Carey LP in works

It was earlier reported today that Mariah Carey's first Hip Hop collaboration since giving birth would be with Uncle Murda. However, she would be the one serving as the guest feature, and not the song carrier. Now we have some news on the diva's OWN album in the works (yay!). It has now been confirmed that for the anticipated project, MC has enlisted producers James ‘Big Jim’ Wright and American Idol judge Randy Jackson.

The singer has worked with them both previously ('The Emancipation of Mimi', Merry Christmas II You’) so there shouldn't be any worries about lack of musical chemistry. See what Wright had to say below...

Trying to sleep but can’t grrrrr. Was in the studios late with Randy Jackson working on some Mariah Carey tracks.

MC has also hooked up with another longterm producer of her past - Jermaine Dupri. Hopefully, she stays away from The-Dream because their 'bond' is like trying to mix oil and water. My advice? Leave Terius to the Rihanna's and Beyonce's of the world and find fresh new talent or stick with people who knows your creative direction inside out.
