Although the track peaked quite some time ago, R&B crooner Usher has finally premiered the music video for latest single ‘More’. The visual is made up of newly shot facial close-ups, mixed in with live footage from his recent 'OMG' tour. The budget-stricken video is not very good, and with latest album ‘Raymond vs Raymond’ meeting its closure, a real studio visual was not going to be delivered in these late stages. Now that the video is out, and his tour is close to being wrapped up, the 32-year-old can now begin his new era of revolutionary pop.

Another thing I wanted to address (before Toya'z World went offline) was the Gadhafi situation. Usher finally spoke out with regret about his involvement. Check out my two pence on the situation.

Usher keeps it simple for 'More' video...

Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Nelly Furtado have all released statements this week about their shame for performing for the Gadhafi family. In those statements, Beyonce and Nelly made sure to confirm donating their paid fees to charity, whilst Mariah found another alternative. Usher's statement is below:

"I am sincerely troubled to learn about the circumstances surrounding the Nikki Beach St. Bart's event that took place on New Year's Eve 2009" he said in a statement released to The Associated Press. "I will be donating all of my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organizations". The statement also said that Usher made a contribution on Friday to Amnesty International, which the organization confirmed. The dictator's country is openly revolting against him and he is under investigation for possible war crimes.

MY THOUGHTS?

It's interesting that these statements are doing their best to distance themselves but are not mentioning how the United States sustained friendlier ties with Libya around the time of the concerts. Libya supported the Iraq invasion, took steps to abandon their nuclear program and eventually, they became allies. This article from 2008 sums up the State Department's relationship with Libya at that time. Therefore, can we really blame Mariah for not giving up her donation fee?
